The classic- Statesboro Blues was originally written by Blind Willie McTell in 1928. Taj Mahal recorded his adaptation of the song in 1968. His version inspired the Allman Brothers Band to record their version which is ranked number nine on Rolling Stone magazine’s list of “100 Greatest Guitar Songs of All Time.“ At Skyville Live we were lucky enough to have Taj, Gregg Allman and Chris Stapleton perform this stunning once-in-a-lifetime version of the classic!
