Underdogs of History: The Bolsheviks vs All of Russia The October Revolution, or Bolshevik Revolution, was a takeover of the Russian government in 1917 by a group of radical socialists led by Vladimir Lenin, and was the second part of the Russian Revolution. He took those positions because they were arrived at organically by applying the marxist method to an analysis of objective conditions from the standpoint of the world-wide strategic interests of the working class of every country, not even just russia. If the working class as a whole were more likely to achieve socialism by russia losing the war and ceding certain defeats, so be it. All of this had nothing to do with lenin, he was merely channeling the positions of Marxism itself throug h his own cognitive faculties . if the conclusions he arrived at were extreme, its because reality was itself extreme, which Marxism and marxism alone was able to fully grasp and assimilate consciously.
