In this video we use techniques from previous videos to make a simple square shape box cushion with piping/ welt all around the top and bottom and a hidden zip with pocket at the end. The foam cushion inner is 10cm or 4 inches so we cut the border at the same thickness to ensure a nice tight fit. The zip is cut at about or 1 inch thicker than the border before zip is added so it finishes at the same size. We made the piping and the border both longer than needed so they can be trimmed to the right size while the cover is constructed. The top and bottom panels have had the stitching allowance added so they end up the right size after piping and border are sewn on. We use 1/2 inch or 12mm stitching allowance. We hope that this all makes sense and can help people with some basic upholstery skills. Feel free to ask questions and we will answer as best as we can.
