We used a heavy bowling ball and about 115 ft (35 m) long and 1.2 in (4 cm) thick rope. We got the rope plaited around the ball with the total weight of almost 30 lb (14.5 kg). Compare, a billiard ball with a in (0.6 cm) rope plaited around had a weight of only 0,66 lb (300 g). It took about 50 ft (15 m) to wind the ball and 65 ft (20 m) more to wind the grip.
