I make volume swells with the volume knob. I start with a harmony playing a chord and then I switch on the Whammy -1 octave to play some lower pad. Then I play some melody line while the harmony I played earlier is still heard. Then I repeat this structure again and again – chord / bass pad / melody. My signal chain is split into three stereo lines: one for tone shaped guitar delays (Blooper, Volante, Timeline), one for wet BigSky reverb and one for wet Hologram Microcosm madness. All delays are synced with MorningstarFX MC6 midi controller. CBA Blooper is set in delay mode and uses Filter Stepped Speed ( 1 octave). I switched ADD modifier ON. The Blooper gives me some slight octaves up delay that goes through the Strymon Riverside booster and a bit of DemonFX King of Drive overdrive. Then the signal passes the Strymon Volante pedal and goes to the Strymon Timeline dotted Digital delay. I set pretty much decay time in the BigSky to add long reverb tails, but significantly cut high frequencies to leave more space for the Microcosm Mosaic patterns. All three stereo lines were mixed in DAW, some EQ and Mastering compression was added.
