Birmingham’s Subterranean Hawks featured two of the UK’s most consistently underrated musicians, Dave Kusworth and Stephen Duffy. A history lesson: Stephen Duffy sang and played guitar and Simon Colley played bass and clarinet in the first incarnation of Duran Duran with Nick Rhodes and John Taylor, mostly gigging at Barbarella’s.
