Transfer from cine film of a documentary by EMI covering the development and early years of medical x-ray CT scanning. Covers the Nobel prize winning work of Godfrey Hounsfield, including his development from proof of concept to the production of body scanners. Also includes an interview with James Ambrose at Atkinson Morley's Hospital, and footage of the very first medical CT scanner - now on display at the Science Museum in London.
