Justice Andrew presided over the judgment, which centered on the application of the Criminal Proceeds Recovery Act. The case involved Wayne Doyle, the senior leader of the Head Hunters Motorcycle Club, and the late Harata Raewyn Pupuni, sparking significant media attention and coverage. The Commissioner of Police applied for civil forfeiture orders against Doyle, seeking a staggering $12 million. Additionally, a joint and several profit forfeiture order of nearly $3 million was sought against Doyle as well. The Commissioner also requested the disposal of five properties, cash, and other assets linked to these profits to satisfy the forfeiture orders. Central to this case or the jewel of the crown was the property at 232 Marua Road in Mount Wellington, the headquarters and the gang pad of the East Chapter of the Head Hunters.
