The governor of Russia’s Kursk region has imposed an ‘emergency situation regime’ in the wake of an Ukrainian attack. The region’s governor described the current situation in Kursk’s border areas as “difficult.” “All necessary measures are being taken to ensure the security of the region’s residents,“ he noted. According to the regional government, several thousands of people were evacuated from the region’s border areas. This comes after the Russian border region came under a massive attack from Ukraine on August 6. The attack was an attempt to break through the state border which Moscow claims to have thwarted. The attacks claimed five lives with Russia's health ministry saying that 31 civilians, including six children, had been wounded. According to the Russian Army General Valery Gerasimov, Ukrainian assault involved up to 1,000 servicemen. #russia #russiaukrainewar #kursk #warnews #ukraine n18oc_world n18oc_crux 0:00 INTRODUCTION 2:12 RUSSIA ‘STRIKES’ MILITARY SITE, UKRAINE ‘DOWNS’ MISSILES 3:45 RUSSIAN WAR CORRESPONDENT INJURED IN KURSK 4:55 “BIT RICH…” US SLAMS RUSSIA FOR CONDEMNING KURSK ATTACK 7:25 MEDVEDEV CALLS FOR FURTHER INVASION OF UKRAINE CRUX is your daily video news guide to the big events that are shaping our world.
