Sri Krishna Janmashtami is the divine appearance day of Lord Krishna. Around 5000 years ago, Lord Krishna descended on the earth from His spiritual abode, demonstrating boundless mercy by delivering the virtuous, vanquishing the malevolent, and reinstating religious principles. His transcendental form, qualities, and enchanting pastimes captivate the hearts of devotees, immersing them in an ocean of divine love and ecstasy. Let us remember, worship, and glorify Lord Krishna on this auspicious occasion of Sri Krishna Janmashtami and receive His unlimited blessings. Today, ISKCON Bangalore is conducting a grand maha-abhisheka for Sri Sri Radha Krishnachandra from 9 PM onwards, culminating at midnight with an enchanting arati to Sri Sri Radha Krishnachandra. The festivities continue with a grand Pallakki Utsava. Their Lordships Sri Sri Radha Krishnachandra will be ceremoniously bathed with panchamrita, panchagavya, varieties of fruit juices, herbal water, and other sacred articles, amidst soulful bhajans and kirtans. During this ceremony, They are also offered a turmeric bath, followed by an enthralling lamp offering and abhisheka with holy water from 108 kalashas, accompanied by the chanting of Veda mantras by devotees. Thereafter, varieties of fragrant flowers are showered upon Their Lordships, who then receive an enchanting Jhulan seva. The celebrations will conclude with a grand arati at midnight, welcoming the divine advent of the supreme Lord Krishna.
