Introductory intertitle reads: “The toll of the road goes on - through lack of a moment’s thought! “Then ’the kerb step’ is the best way to safety first - but don’t do it like this“ said Bobby Howes, the famous Star from “Mr. Cinders.“ M/S of Bobby and a dozen chorus girls in fur collared coats and cloche hats. He shows them a supposedly safe way of stepping off the kerb, then nearly gets run over by a car! “Now girls - like this ’Shun - feet together.“ Bobby shows them again. He looks both ways then steps off the kerb. L/S of the group with linked arms walking towards the kerb. “Eyes right - eyes left - then, quick march!“ They wait for a car to drive past then walk across in step. “Then the Hippodrome Beauty Chorus thought they’d try it again in Stage style.“ They all do a little dance on the kerb before stepping off.
