A journey throught the often overlooked role of bass in black metal. In this list I cover even more of my favorite bass solos in black metal, by 9 different bands. In this list I decided to include both well-known bands but I also included some quite obscure bands in order to keep things interesting. You’ll notice that I included the full song Opus Nocturne by @mardukofficial in the intro. This was done because I find the bass to be quite unique on this song from start to end.
