The Soul Surfers are funk, rock and psychedelic soul band, est. in 2011, Russia, Nizhny Novgorod. They are pure and authethic sound of Soul Rock and Heavy Funk music, which constructed by using vintage 60's-70's instruments and exploring brand new sounds. Band was formed just few years ago by classmates during the graduate class of school, and widely became popular at russian funk/soul scene. Funk Night Record in Detroit released their first 45 “Soul Power“, which was sold out in few days everywhere. First 2 45s “Soul Power“ and “Garcia Brother“ was sold out in 2 days. After 5 years, there is more that 28 vinyl records is released at different names by The Soul Surfers. music was licensed by 20th Century Fox for “GLEE“ tv show, TSS performed at many festivals and gigs all over the world, including “Saint-Paul Soul Jazz“, “Surfilaager“, “Afisha Piknik“, and “Estonian Funk Embassy“ and played mini-tour in US at summer 2015. LP “SOUL ROCK!“, released by Ubiquity Records at autumn 2015 held 1st place in russian iTunes soul/r&b chart for a week and stayed in the top about a month, which was extraordinary situation for russian music market. Band collaborated with artists such as Myron & E, Shawn Lee, Malcolm Catto (The Heliocentrics), Jan Whitefield (The Poets Of Rhythm), Didier (The Soul Investigators) and many many others. TSS can be a perfect backing band for a singer/solo musician. In 2016, The Soul Surfers done whole sound and music design for oldest russian federal radiostation “Mayak“.
