I hadn't really done any of the work during the semester and this was the final project. The class was completely asynchronous so I had never even met or talked to the professor the entire class, but I will forever be grateful for him. He could've so easily failed me (even if I had gotten a perfect score on the final, I'm not sure I would've passed the class). But he didn't. It turns out my professor was also a deadhead. Revealing to me in a comment on my project, he said he had played in a dead cover band during his college years and seemed to really enjoy what I had done for my final project. I say all this, because I think it encapsulates the magic the band is known for, and truly shows the lasting impact it has had across generations and across the globe“
