Heavy and torrential rains are forecasted for Beijing and the neighboring Hebei province from Wednesday to Friday. Some areas are expected to experience severe downpours. Beijing is anticipated to undergo a 30-hour rainfall process starting in the coming days. On Wednesday, China's National Meteorological Center upgraded the rainstorm warning to orange for Beijing and Hebei. China operates a four-tier, color-coded weather warning system. In this system, red represents the most severe warning. Heavy rains could trigger secondary disasters such as flash floods, mudslides, and landslides in mountainous and hilly areas. The Beijing Meteorological Service has jointly issued a yellow alert due to mountain torrents. Residents are advised to avoid flood channels and suspend outdoor activities related to mountains and water. Additionally, both bureaus have jointly issued a blue alert for urban flooding.
