Nishimura is an exciting new comet that was discovered on August 11th. At the time of recording this video it was an magnitude and could be seen with the naked eye via binoculars. It is expected to brighten to a magnitude of 2 (or 1.8) It's closet approach is expected to be September 12th It'll be at perihelion on September 17/18th -- that is if you can see it then at your location by then (see update below) I show you in this video how to load it into Stellarium a free and powerful desktop software. As well as finding it in @PlanItPhoto and planning out your shoot of it. **I didn't include this in the video since I was literally looking at it's location for the first time in Stellarium as I recorded. Note that around Sept 7/8 it transitions to an evening object. But it is very close to the sun and will be hard to see. People at higher northern latitudes will have a better chance.
