“Let It Be“ is the twelfth and final studio album (thirteenth and last in the United States) by British pop rock band The Beatles. It was released on May 8, 1970, days after the release was made official. Paul McCartney of the band, and with it the public dissolution of the group Despite being mostly recorded during January 1969, the album is considered to be the band's last album, as it was released after Abbey Road, which was released in September 1969.
