I have created a topwater lure in the shape of an “onigiri“ (rice ball). “Onigiri“ has long been a popular food in Japan, and surprisingly, it is also a favorite among fish. The trick to using this lure is to shake the fishing rod rhythmically. First, the angler finds a fish searching for rice balls (onigiri). Next, cast the rice balls and shaking the fishing rod tip. At this point, it is effective to make ripples on the surface of the water.
