Kingfisher - Speed and Resolution

Effervescent. This is probably the most colourful bird that is native to the British Isles. Actually being not all that common, a minority of people will have seen one at some point in their lives. A flash of vibrant colour, the chirping call is all you are likely to have seen. What was that? A kingfisher? Those that have seen one are unlikely to have seen them perched, or in as much detail as we were able to capture at the Wildlife Photography Hides location (). The artificial pond here is baited to encourage the wild birds to visit regularly. For any photographers or bird watchers that are in any way time limited this is simply the best way to get almost guarantied results.
