Community Immunity: A Rap Anthology About Vaccines is the latest COVID-19 public information campaign from Hip Hop Public Health. A suite of free resources aimed at increasing COVID-19 vaccine coverage in communities of color, this animated rap anthology deconstructs vaccine literacy into in a series of five animated videos featuring the voice of Grammy®-winning rapper and HHPH Advisory Board member Darryl DMC McDaniels of Run-DMC, along with award-winning producer Artie Green and singer-songwriter Gerry Gunn. Medical oversight was provided by our founder, Dr. Olajide Williams, Dr. Melissa Stockwell and our advisory board member, Dr. Monique Hedmann-Maxey. Community Immunity: Part 4 - What can I Expect if I Take the Vaccine? describes the transient reactions to vaccination and highlights the importance of returning for the second shot (if it is a 2-shot vaccine). It also defines herd immunity as community immunity and emphasizes that getting both shots is not just about me, it is about us. Spread the word using #CommunityImmunity, take a photo/video of yourself flexing your arms and tag us @HHPHorg to show us how you are protecting yourself and everybody you love!
