EU leaders are meeting with Ukraine's president Volodymyr Zelenskiy today in Kiev, where they'll discuss the conflict in the eastern part of the country, which has been raging for more than five years. On Sunday, President Zelenskiy and EU Council President Donald Tusk visited the Luhansk region, which forms the frontline between Ukrainian forces and pro-Russia separatists. Despite the fighting, there's a glimmer of hope: Days ago, the two sides' militaries left the area around Stanytsia Luhanska, where a makeshift bridge does as much to separate the two sides as to connect them.
