Heavy Assault Tank, A39 Tortoise at Tankfest 2011. Work on the Tortoise started in 1943 as a reaspone to the germans tanks being fought in the western desert. The 6 prototypes weren’t delivered until 1946 by whcih time no one wanted them but they were still put through trails were it was found to be relaible and a good gun platform.
