I will let Nyske tell the story behind this picture: “A couple of times per year, I teach at Maastricht University. Maastricht is a beautiful city in the very south of the Netherlands. Already in Roman times, there was a settlement on the banks of the river Maas at the same location. In the Middle Ages, Maastricht became a place of pilgrimage, and grew into a lively city. Quite a number of buildings and other structures survived the ages and are still present. Its medieval centre has a special atmosphere - during an early morning walk, when everything is still quiet, you can easily get the feeling you stepped into a time machine. During the days and evenings, it’s a very lively city which is known for “enjoying life”. There are many good restaurants and the outdoor terraces of the pubs are full
