Flat earthers love to say “show me the curve“, but then point to the horizon and say, “see, it's flat“. Yes, of course the horizon looks flat, except from very high elevations. You cannot see the curve that way, because the horizon is a flat circle around you viewed from the center. And you cannot usually see the curve of the surface directly either, because there is no reference. But there are a few ways you can see the curve directly, as demonstrated in this compilation video. Here are the ways you can see the curve shown in this video: 1. With the right angle and a telescopic lens or telescope, structures such as power line towers and causeways over water will reveal the earth's curvature directly by providing a reference. 2. Distant boats and buildings are partially hidden behind the horizon. The farther they go, the more they are hidden. 3. By increasing elevation, hidden objects can be brought back into view, as you can see farther over the curve, including the sun immediately after sunset. 4. The horizon drops more and more below eye level the higher you go. Thank you to all contributors. Please visit their channels.
