lainitOkay. This place. THIS PLACE. As a surprise for the girls (and a treat for ourselves) we had this little trip away from where we’re staying in Saint-Antonin. It’s called “Chateaux dans les Arbres“--Castles in the Trees--and there are 4 treehouse and 2 floating lake houses modeled after the chateaux of the region. On the website (google it, you have to see it) you can see how amazing the “cabanes“ (treehouses) are, but it doesn’t convey how stunning the property is. It’s...😍😍😍😍😍x1000. This view is from up a tree platform of the pool and owner’s house. The treehouses are in the woods behind where I’m standing, totally private and amazing. The owner is a carpenter and has built one per year for 6 years. Most are for couples, but one sleeps 6 and we stayed in “Milandes“ inspired by Josephine Baker’s Perigord chateau. It has a tower with a bunk bed room and a tower with a queen room. All of them have private hot tub decks in the treetops, and full electricity, plumbing, heating, a/c, total luxury. ❤❤❤❤ Read
