A military parade marking the 71st anniversary of the end of the Second World War took place at Russia’s Hmeymim Airbase in Syria on Monday. Both Russian and Syrian servicemen took part in a march on the airfield that was followed by a column of military vehicles. The march started after an opening address by the commander of the Russian operation in the country, Colonel-General Alexander Dvornikov.
