One of a series of short films produced in 1969 by Charles Grinker and Mert Koplin, “Which Way USA -- Black Views on Race“ provided brief portraits of many African American leaders including Martin Luther King, Cassius Clay, Malcolm X, Bobby Seale, and others. This episode features activist, author, actor and comedian Dick Gregory (1932 – 2017). Gregory became well known for pointing out the hypocrisy of USA civil society, with its bigoted and racist constructs, in his routines. He also protested the Vietnam War, and helped spur further investigation into the assassinations of John F. Kennedy and Martin Luther King.
