The anthem of the 26th of July Movement, the primary revolutionary group during the Cuban Revolution which would go on to overthrow the US-backed Batista regime. Its name comes from the attack on the Moncada Barracks on the 26th of July, 1953, which marked the beginning of the revolution. One of the most famous Cuban revolutionary songs, this particular version comes from a record released by the Tricontinental (OSPAAAL) which contains songs from various revolutionary movements around the world.
