September 21st, 2017 - the Regional District of Central Okanagan announced the expansion of Black Mountain / sntsk‘il’ntən Regional Park, its largest regional park. It purchased almost 127-hectares to be added to the existing 516-hectare park protecting these ecologically, geographically and culturally significant lands. Watch the announcement ceremony by RDCO Chair Gail Given, Westbank First Nation Councillor and RDCO Board member Tom Konek and Linda Bauer, representative for Kelowna Lake Country MP Stephen Fuhr and the Government of Canadar.
