My marabou jig is basically a Jack Gartside's Soft Hackle Streamer tied on a jig hook. The intro to this video was filmed on one of the first warm days in April - that's why I talk about ice out and early spring fishing. This jig catch fish all year round, but when fish are sluggish and slow - maybe because the water is extremely cold... or warm, it outfishes most other lures. Excellent choice for vertical fishing as well... and for jig & bobber fishing. Can be tied in any color combination, to suit water temperature or clarity - and to imitate specific baitfish, shrimps, insects larvas or crayfish. The Marabou Jig - Pattern with affiliate links Hook: Your choise of jighead, that includes weight. This jig is tied on a leadfree 1/4 oz roundhead - Thread: Strong - Tail: a few strands of flashabou mix - multi silver - Hackle: Rear: Blood Quill Marabou - fl. Pink, Mid: Blood Quill Marabou - peacock blue, - ht
