Patrick Leonard has an interesting story about this song, and he comes across as real cool cat. Fantastic writer, arranger, composer and producer who did fantastic work with Madonna. Fair play to Madonna too as, apparently, the final vocal is from her first take on the demo. There's some cool guitar work in this song, from Bruce Gaitsch (multitracks are available online), so I thought I would try and highlight it, along with putting in some Landau/Huff type work and tones too. I hope you enjoy! You can find my other Madonna covers here - I use a Jackson DK2 into a Boss Me50 (where I get my tone) into a Boss DC-2w (for my Dimension C Chorus tone) into a Palmer Pdi-09 (which simulated a mic'd up cab) into a Focusrite Scarlett into my computer running Logic Pro X (where I add a little EQ and Reverb and for the WDW setup some micro pitch and stereo delays). I'll be uploading my notation notes to my Patreon here and if you are looking for custom tutorial content, then message me there or at my email bwmguitarlessons@ . Let me help you get playing the music you love!
