Zane Bennett Contemporary Art is pleased to present an exhibition of new work by Yazzie Johnson and Gail Bird, who are internationally recognized for their unique, contemporary interpretation of Native American jewelry. Yazzie Johnson and Gail Bird have been collaborating for over 30 years and have known each other since childhood. Their work is in collections at the British Museum in London, the Heard Museum in Arizona, and the National Museum of the American Indian at the Smithsonian in Washington, D.C. They have taken part in countless exhibitions and have received numerous awards. With Johnson as the metal smith and Bird as the designer, their collaborations result in elegant, uncommon, and truly inventive works. The unique and dazzling works of Yazzie Johnson and Gail Bird are dramatic yet wearable.
