A company in southern California is putting dogs to work to help children become more confident, and they don t need to do a whole lot to get the job done. The therapy dogs are tasked with comforting elementary kids. It s all part of a Canine Literacy program that improves mental health, provides anxiety relief and gives the kids confidence to read better. And parents told KCBS they ve seen a difference.
