released August 8, 2012 by Particles With a penchant for innovative sound design and construction, Particles bids a welcome return to Mobilize with his new EP, “Evening Kisses”. Hailing from the vast Tyumen region of Russia, rich in natural resources, Mobilize currently runs the Mobilisiemusik label and radio show on Proton. It is under these different banners that the concept for the “Evening Kisses” EP arose; and in tandem with this release, a series of 6 guest mixes on the Particles radio show will accompany the original material presented here. Ever passionate about his craft, these mixes will be split evenly across the twin concepts of “Summer Days” and “Summer Nights”, creating a blend of downtempo, electronica and deep house in the former and uptempo house and techno in the latter, as day enters night. This whole concept entwines wonderfully with the positive, organic vibe throughout the 6 track EP and its cinematic and wide-ranging styles and textures. Once inside “Evening Kisses”, Mobilize treats us to a wealth of sound reminiscent of the Shocker – “Slick” and “Grinding” EPs and also of Sed releases on Particles. This is high quality electronica with echoes of early DJ Shadow on “Freedom” and “Sandstorm”, with their chunky, slow tempo beats and the acoustic guitar on “Family” is full of beautiful simplicity. The title track has a distinct lounge feel about it and “Sad Bisco” the most uptempo and dance oriented of the 6. A wonderful collage of sound; this is music to be savoured. 1.
