A playthrough of Mitsui Furodan's 1995 Japanese-exclusive adventure game for the Super Famicom/Super Nintendo, Snoopy Concert (スヌーピーコンサート). I am playing using the English translation patch from AeonGenesis. The game does support the SNES mouse, but I found it way too imprecise and clunky. I'm using the gamepad. Snoopy Concert is a pretty sweet game. Well... it's really not a great GAME, per se, but it's a fun title that really manages to be charming and nostalgic. The gameplay is a lot like Pacman 2: The New Adventures, but unlike Pacman, Snoopy is pretty willing to listen to you via Woodstock (aka cleverly disguised mouse cursor). The presentation is second-to-none, and that's what makes Snoopy Concert so special. It captures the feeling of the Snoopy comic perfectly, and it really feels alive. The graphics are all of extremely-high quality and pull off some neat effects you don't typically see on the SNES, and the music is exactly what you'd expect of the Peanuts. I felt like a kid again playing this - it's like a timewarp in the best possible way. And the soundtrack was also done by the infamous Hirokazu Hip Tanaka. How's that for a Chuck Norris roundhouse to the jaw? Yeah. It's awesome. ____ No cheats were used during the recording of this video.
