John Kirby, the United States National Security Council Coordinator for Strategic Communications, answered a question at a press conference regarding the targeting of journalists in Gaza by Israeli forces. Kirby denied that journalists get “deliberately and maliciously” targeted by Israeli forces, and affirmed the U.S.’ commitment to the protection of journalists. This comes after over 100 journalists have died in Gaza ever since October 7th.
