In this video I replace the worn rear brake shoes, rear brake drums, wheel cylinders and then bleed the brakes/change the brake fluid on my 2008 Smart Fortwo 451 Passion 84 BHP Turbo. I explain the operation of the self-adjusters, thoroughly clean the backplates and apply copperslip to the contact surfaces between the shoes and backplate to prevent brake squeak. I used the following parts: Apec - Brake shoes Febi Bilstein - Brake drums Pagid - Wheel cylinders Napa - DOT 4 fully synthetic brake fluid The braking efficiency was vastly improved following this repair.
