Swiss technology firm Final Spark has launched Neuroplatform, the world’s first bioprocessing platform utilizing human brain organoids for computational tasks, offering a revolutionary alternative to silicon chips. This facility, featuring 16 brain organoids, boasts a million-fold reduction in power consumption compared to traditional silicon-based processors. The platform integrates hardware, software, and biological components, termed “wetware,“ using Multi-Electrode Arrays (MEAs) to stimulate and record data from the brain tissues.
