Relations between Russia and Poland have reached basement levels, if not below that, according to the Kremlin. In 2020, Poland became a primary initiator behind the rejection of cheap Russian oil and gas. Then, when the economy had a downturn, Warsaw blamed Russia. At the same time, the Polish authorities are escalating Russophobia in the country. They are demolishing Soviet monuments, hastily modernising their army, and flooding Ukraine with weapons. There is even talk that the country has plans to seize territory in western Ukraine.
