“We're living in the upside down now...“ Of the songs on Jigoku 6, Black Sheep is the one I've seen the most people talk about online. It's not really a surprise, because there's a _lot_ to unpack with it. I remember hearing the first few seconds of this in the EP's initial teaser, which was more enough to solidify my hype for its release, and the full thing does not disappoint! Here, Calli reflects on her place within the greater music landscape, all over a kickass rock beat courtesy of Koichi Tsutaya. Once again, she also animated the music video for it as well, and she goes buck-wild with all kinds of imagery that fit with the song's message. Much like with other songs on the EP, this track was fairly easy to rework into metal. I wanted my cover to be in the style of Killswitch Engage, which is a band I've drawn from subconsciously in many of my other works, but never tried emulating directly until now.
