Arsenal v Middlesbrough 2001-02 PIRES ASHLEY COLE GOAL

Final game of the 2001 calender year and Middlesbrough play The Arse at Highbury with the home team looking for revenge following the 0-3 defeat the previous season. They got it but had to come from behind after Sol Campbell gifted Noel Whelan the opening goal. Robert Pires scored The Arses equaliser with a dipping 20 yard volley (what a brilliant player Pires was) and Ashley Cole showed just why he was worth the extra £2k or whatever it was by inexplicably scoring with a header to give The Arse The Win. Jock Brown and Trevor Putney on mic duty! Jock Brown just doesn't sound right if he's not shouting about Celtic, Roy Aitken or Graeme Souness!
