Wooden Horse - Wooden Horse (1972 uk, charming harmony prog folk) This is the rare 1972 debut from this fine UK hippy band who mixed acoustic folk and electric rock to create a sound similar to Tudor Lodge, Story Teller etc. Lead singer Susan Traynor was later known as Noosha Fox - but this music far overshadows anything from that later more commercial era. Great male/female harmonies. WOODEN HORSE were one of the BEST folk bands of all time, allthough not many have heard their 2 lps as they are rather obscure, the music ranges in sound mostly from PETER, PAUL, and MARY, also the VELVET UNDERGROUND, GORDON LIGHTFOOT, FAIRPORT CONVENTION, LEONARD COHEN, etc. ........the lps are straight ahead acoustic folk with variations here and there if u are a fan of FOX then we'd say these lps are essential to see the kind of SUSAN aka NOOSHA sang in before FOX.... Tracks 1. Crazy Thoughts - 0:00 2. Wake Me In The Morning - 3:03 3. Trees (Malcolm Harrison, Dave Mateer) - 6:13
