Tattooed by the Worlds Oldest Tattoo Artist: Whang Od of the Philippines

I’ve wanted to get tattooed by the world's oldest tattoo artist since I was 13 years old. I saw a documentary about her on an episode of Tattoo Hunter, the series which inspired me to get tattoos. Never did I dream then that Whang Od, the Philippine’s last Kalinga, would still be tattooing today and that I’d get the chance to meet her. She’s 105 years old and still going strong. Must be something in the rice! We flew 6,666 miles from the UK to the Philippines for this tattoo and I’m excited to share the journey with you.
