And we have another first on the show today. The first Playstation 1 game. Blaster Master: Blasting Again. Now, I am playing the game using an ISO I made from my disc and through the ePSXe emulator, but I showed that I do have the legit game by booting it up on my unmodified PS2 first. I am using the emulator for a few reasons, not the least of which being that PSX games run better on it. Higher resolution, better colors, it’s just better than using the hardware. Blaster Master: Blasting Again. Released in 2001, Blasting Again was the last of the sequels for the original Blaster Master series of games. Even since then, the only two entries have been a remake, and a reboot. I believe it is also the only game in the series that tried to take on a more 3D approach. Blaster Master is a strange game, that holds a soft spot in a lot of people’s hearts. Even people who, like myself, could never beat the bloody thing. Really, it is an early example of a “Metroidvania“ style of gameplay, which some of the best games utilize. How does this transition into 3D fare? Let’s find out! -- Watch live at
