06-23-2023 Fort Worth, TX - Lightning strikes causes home fire, cats rescued from the smoke.

***NOT FOR BROADCAST*** Contact Brett Adair with Live Storms Media to license. brett@ 3 adults and 2 cats have been displaced after a lightning strike starts an attic fire on the 14600 block of Frog Lake Dr in Far North Fort Worth Friday afternoon. Around 2:50pm Fort Worth 911 recieved a call about a lightning strike and possible structure fire on the 14600 block of Frog Lake Dr in Far North Fort Worth. Upon arrival Quint 38 reported fire on the roof. Upon making entry into the attic they found fire throughout the attic and a working fire was declared. While doing mop up on the fire a cat was found hiding and having trouble breathing. The cat was reunited with its owners and is currently being treated at a veterinary office for smoke inhalation. All residents including the cats are expected to be ok.
