Had to redo this one several times because I wasn't satisfied with the tone of some versions. This really was a struggle because the colour is so common in the environment of film and tv that I just got uninspired seeing it everywhere. It was difficult finding meaning in the colour at first but as I looked into my favourite films some more, I eventually found a curve of emotions. Took me a while but it's done! So... blue. Commonly used in horror. Not only in films but in art too. Blue can either make us calm like the blue sky or unease like the moonlight. Some elements of what makes us react to blue is probably ancestral; like how we learnt to become more alert in the moonlight thus helps us to survive. But I think our emotional connection with blue also comes culturally. While the West use blue as the costume colour (or lightsaber) for the hero, Eastern countries like China would paint the evil character's face in traditional opera blue. Out of the 3 colours, blue is the more plastic. You can transform the association of the colour quite easily depending of music and imagery. So yeah, quite a anticlimactic ending but that's it.
