Ami go home Communist song+English translation

Dear American viewers, don't be too frightened! “Ami, go home!“ or “Yankee, go home!“ was a relatively popular slogan not only in occupied Germany, but all of American-influenced Europe shortly after WW2. It was directed against American soldiers who continued to have a presence in the ravaged Europe after the war. As you can probably imagine, the Soviet Union and its satellite states of the Eastern block gladly reciprocated that slogan, as they didn't really have to fear a similar movement against them in Eastern Europe. This song here is sung by Ernst Busch (1900-1980), one of the most famous German socialist/communist artists. He was as a singer, actor (for example in the famous “Dreigroschenoper“/Threepenny Opera of Bertolt Brecht), and movie director. He was supposed to be arrested by the Nazis in 1933 because of his political attitude, but he fled and eventually worked with the Soviets in Moscow.
