Swedish Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson delivered the final documents, referring to the day as “truly historic“ and “a victory for freedom.“ During the ceremony, U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken said the moment was historic for Sweden and the transatlantic alliance. PM Kristersson said Sweden will live up to “high expectations“ from all NATO members, sharing burdens, responsibilities, and risks, and make unity and solidarity the guiding light.
