The solar term of Xiao Xue (Light Snow)

Light Snow, one of the twenty-four solar terms, occurs when the sun reaches 240° of the Yellow River, with the Dipper pointing to Hai. It typically begins around November 21st to November 23rd each year. The temperature drops compared to before, especially in the northern regions (in the current map of China, this generally refers to the Yellow River area), gradually reaching below 0°C, marking the start of snowfall. During this time, there are frosty nights and melting snow during the day, with the snowfall increasing from light to heavy.
