An air strike has hit a building in Rafah, in southern Gaza, very close to where our Hani Mahmoud was reporting from live on air for Al Jazeera English. The explosion sent a massive plume of smoke into the sky and panicked residents running for cover. “People are running from the site of the explosion … right near the vicinity of the Kuwaiti Hospital,” said Al Jazeera’s Hani Mahmoud, who was just a few metres away from the scene of the attack. “We are hearing from people running … that multiple residential homes have been completely destroyed … and were full of people.” Ambulances were also seen rushing to the scene, making their way past a crowded street. They observe more people rushing, carrying bodies with injuries. There is a group of people running and carrying what seems to be a dead body to the hospital. This is the situation in every place where relentless targeting takes place. They're not in the northern part to report the tragedies people have experienced since the early hours of this morning in Jabalia and Gaza City, but this is a real-life example.
